Oscar 2021 nominations are out and it is Priyanka Chopra Jonas alongwith her husband and popular American band, Jonas Brothers’ musician and singer. This is the great moment for the Indian film industry and very proud moment for every Indian as this is the first time that an Indian celebrity announced the Oscar 2021 nominations.
The Oscar 2021 will be held on 25th April. This year it will be held two months later than usual because of the pandemic all over the world. The 2020 Academy awards did some huge mistakes and as the repercussions, the Academy faced criticism from the Hollywood as well as world cinema.
But this time, it improve the mistake and under-take the notice of women directors and color actors and artists. Chloe Zhao and Emerald Fennell are nominated for the Best Director for Nomadland and Promising Young Woman, respectively. Chadwick Boseman(known for Black Panther) has been nominated in the best Actor category for his performance in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Apart from Chadwick Boseman’s nomination, the list includes Viola Davis (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom) and Andra Day (The United States Vs Billie Holiday) for Best Actress, and Daniel Kaluuya (Judas And The Black Messiah), Leslie Odom Jr (One Night In Miami) and Lakeith Stanfield (Judas And The Black Messiah) for Best Supporting Actor.
